Homemakers Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy 


Supplier may provide for fulfillment only those products that comply with Homemakers’ Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy (“Policy”), as updated from time to time. 

 

Supplier represents and warrants that: 

  1. All products supplied for dropship fulfillment comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and safety standards. 

  1. No products designated as prohibited under the Policy will be supplied, fulfilled, or shipped on behalf of Homemakers. 

  1. Supplier is solely responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with the Policy for all products made available for dropship fulfillment. 

 

Homemakers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to: 

  • Reject, suspend, or remove any product from the dropship program that does not comply with the Policy. 

  • Require the immediate cessation of fulfillment for non-compliant products. 

  • Require corrective actions, supporting documentation, or certifications related to product compliance. 

  • Withhold or offset payment for orders involving non-compliant products. 

  • Suspend or terminate the Supplier’s participation in the dropship program for repeated or material violations of the Policy. 

 

Supplier acknowledges that Homemakers may modify the Policy from time to time and that continued participation in the dropship program following such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. 

 

1. Alcohol & Controlled Consumables 

  • Alcoholic beverages of any kind (including powdered alcohol) 

  • Collectible alcohol containing liquid 

  • Alcohol-related products not clearly identified as empty and decorative 

Permitted: decorative barware, empty bottles labeled as décor 

2. Animals, Wildlife & Regulated Animal Products 

  • Live animals, insects, or wildlife 

  • Animal remains, organs, or taxidermy 

  • Animal vaccines or veterinary biologics 

  • Products made from endangered, threatened, or protected species 

  • Ivory or ivory-containing materials 

  • Items made from marine mammals 

  • Products prohibited under wildlife protection laws (e.g., Migratory Bird Treaty Act) 

3. Artifacts, Cultural & Sacred Items 

  • Authentic cultural, tribal, or sacred artifacts 

  • Human remains 

  • Archaeological artifacts, fossils, or relics restricted by law 

Permitted: replicas and decorative interpretations clearly marketed as such 

4. Automotive, Identification & Surveillance Equipment 

  • Government-issued IDs or documents 

  • Vehicle identification plates 

  • Products designed to bypass emissions systems 

  • Signal jammers (cell, GPS, radar) 

  • Surveillance or law enforcement equipment 

  • License plate obscuring devices 

  • Toll system equipment 

5. Counterfeit, Stolen & Infringing Products 

  • Counterfeit or stolen products 

  • Unauthorized reproductions 

  • Products infringing on trademarks, copyrights, or IP rights 

  • Unauthorized autographs or licensed imagery 

6. Cosmetics, Personal Care & Body-Applied Products 

  • Prescription-only cosmetics or personal care products 

  • Opened, used, expired, or tampered products 

  • Products not compliant with FDA labeling requirements 

  • Products containing controlled substances 

Permitted: candles, home fragrance, decorative soaps, non-body-applied items 

7. Currency, Financial Instruments & Stored Value 

  • Counterfeit currency or securities 

  • Bullion or investment-grade precious metals 

  • Gift cards, prepaid cards, or stored-value products 

  • Government assistance or benefit instruments 

8. Digital Goods & Services 

  • Digitally delivered products of any kind 

  • Software licenses, activation keys, or beta software 

  • Tickets to events or experiences 

9. Drugs, Medical Devices & Health Products 

  • Illegal drugs or narcotics 

  • Controlled substances 

  • Drug paraphernalia 

  • Prescription drugs or devices 

  • Veterinary drugs and devices 

  • Recalled medical products 

  • Products requiring regulatory approval not obtained 

  • Syringes with or without needles 

10. Food & Ingestible Products 

  • Perishable food 

  • Homemade or unpackaged food 

  • Expired or recalled food 

  • Food products making medical or drug claims 

Permitted: commercially packaged, shelf-stable gift food (subject to approval) 

11. Funeral & Human Remains Products 

  • Caskets, burial containers, or grave markers 

  • Products containing or intended for human remains 

Permitted: decorative memorial or remembrance items 

12. Hazardous & Regulated Materials 

  • Explosives, fireworks, or combustible materials 

  • Radioactive or contaminated materials 

  • Industrial, commercial, or professional-use-only chemicals 

  • Products prohibited by EPA or similar agencies 

13. Children’s & Juvenile Safety Products 

  • Products banned by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) 

  • Unsafe sleep products (e.g., crib bumpers, sleep positioners) 

  • Recalled juvenile or children’s products 

14. Illegal or Unlawful Products 

  • Products enabling or encouraging illegal activity 

  • Products violating applicable laws or regulations 

  • Malware, spyware, or malicious software 

  • Products that cannot be legally sold in all U.S. states 

15. Jewelry & Precious Materials 

  • Jewelry not compliant with applicable laws 

  • Conflict minerals 

  • Diamonds not compliant with the Kimberley Process 

Permitted: decorative jewelry not marketed as investment-grade 

16. Offensive, Explicit or Harmful Content 

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit material 

  • Products depicting or involving minors in sexualized contexts 

  • Hate speech or violent extremist content 

  • Products glorifying violence, cruelty, or tragedy in a harmful or exploitative manner 

  • Age-inappropriate products marketed to children 

17. Plants, Seeds & Agricultural Products 

  • Illegal plants or seeds 

  • Products subject to agricultural quarantine 

  • Controlled plant substances 

Permitted: artificial plants and décor 

18. Recalled Products 

  • Any product currently or previously subject to a safety recall 

19. Weapons & Weapon Accessories 

  • Firearms, ammunition, or firearm parts 

  • Explosives or weaponized materials 

  • Concealed weapons 

  • Stun guns, tasers, pepper spray, or tear gas 

  • Weapon accessories designed for use in combat 

Permitted: purely decorative, non-functional replicas 

20. Operationally Restricted Products (Approval Required) 

The following may be restricted or prohibited at Homemakers’ discretion: 

  • Products requiring licensed installation (electrical, gas, plumbing) 

  • Oversized or freight-only items exceeding defined thresholds 

  • Products requiring in-home assembly or professional services 

  • Refurbished products 

  • Adult or gambling-related products 

  • Surveillance or monitoring devices
